Haze attack

Singapore is suffering from a serious haze problem, the result of Indonesian forest fires! Singapore's air is now "hazardous"' as the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) soared to 321 at 10 pm yesterday, the worst reading ever in the country's history.

I've got all the allergy problems due to the haze, I can't believe I have to breath in the hazardous air for another week. Why do we have to suffer this from the despicable acts of illegal forest burning? I can see the fragment of ashes floating in the air, I can smell heavy smoke in my throat, it's like inhaling poison! I get watery eyes, running nose, sore throat and itches all over my skin!!!

I feel extremely frustrated about the situation! I couldn't do anything about it!!!

Shouldn't we protect our Earth from pollution and save the Ozone? Burning forest is burning life, destroying nature is destroying ourselves and no one should be allowed to kill our Earth for a living!!! This must be considered a serious crime, a terrorist act, whoever's involved in this incident must get the highest punishment!!! It's been years but the Indonesian government should take tougher actions against those responsible for the illegal burning!!! Why could them let this happen every year??? Do something already to stop this happening again!!!

P/s: The PSI readings reaching a record-breaking level of 371 at 1 pm today - highest reading so far. Literally breathless!!!

Happiness is an attitude

Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same. (Francesca Reigler)
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. (Melody Beattie)
Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery. (Malcolm X)
Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence. (Fobert Frost)
By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third, by experience, which is the most bitter. (Confucius)
Many people are wanting to fan your flames of discomfort, because they believe that "you're either with us or against us; if you don't stand in the same disgust and horror that we are all standing, then you are not with us." It's hard for people to understand that you can at the same time not agree with them and still not be against them. That you could be for something without being against something else. (Esther Hicks)
Probably the most honest 'self-made man' ever was the one we heard say: 'I got to the top the hard way — fighting my own laziness and ignorance every step of the way.' (James Thom)
You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage — pleasantly, smilingly,  unapologetically — to say "no" to other things. And the way you do that is by having a bigger "yes" burning inside. (Stephen R. Covey)
Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. (Henry Ford)
Fear less, hope more; eat less, chew more; whine less, breathe more; talk less, say more; hate less, love more; and all good things are yours. (Swedish Proverb)
We don't see things as they are; we see them as we are. (Anais Nin)
An optimist is a person who sees a green light everywhere, while a pessimist sees only the red stoplight.... The truly wise person is color-blind. (Albert Schweitzer)
I can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of saying, I will not forgive. Forgiveness ought to be like a cancelled note — torn in two, and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one. (Henry Ward Beecher)
A great marriage is not when the 'perfect couple' comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences. (Dave Meurer)
Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them — every day begin the task anew. (Saint Francis de Sales)
